Both tomatoes recalled are linked to potential contamination from suppliers in Florida. The FDA has not yet reported any illnesses but urges consumers to take immediate action.

Health Risks

Salmonella can cause:

  • High fever
  • Severe diarrhea
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Abdominal cramps

In serious cases, the infection can spread to the bloodstream and lead to hospitalization or death. The incubation period ranges from 6 to 72 hours after consumption.
